F45 Coach Auditions & Training

Get paid to learn to teach this summer and start teaching in the fall! 


General Information

No previous experience teaching is required to apply to become an F45 Training Coach. When you successfully complete our coach training program, you will lead F45 Training classes and support our participants.

  • Training Program Pay Rate: $13.75 or $15/hour, depending on your related experience level. 
  • Coach Pay Rate: $16.75-$25.75, depending on certification(s) and experience.
Timeline
  • Application deadline: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the summer on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Auditions: Invitations to audition will be sent on a rolling basis upon application review. Audition dates will be communicated accordingly. Learn more about the audition process.
  • Training: Students selected for the position will be required to attend a two-day paid training on August 24-25, 2024. They will also be required to participate in a six-week mentorship with an experienced coach and attend four paid continued education workshops during the fall term.

Application Process

Before applying, we recommend applicants attend 3-5 F45 Training classes to get a general understanding of how the format works. If you do not have a TeXercise Pass, you can attend classes this summer with complimentary class tickets

  1. Complete and submit the RecSports Student Employment Application. Please select "Group Fitness Instructor" as the position you're interested in and F45 Training as the format you'd like to teach. 
  2. Once our team reviews your application, you will be contacted for a phone interview and in-person audition. 
  3. If offered a position following your audition, you will be required to attend a paid two-day training on campus, August 24-25, 2024. The pay rate for training will vary based on experience ($13.75 or $15/hour)

Audition Overview

If selected for an audition, our team will contact you to schedule an in-person audition. Here's what you can expect during the audition:

  • 20-30 minutes of class preparation before the scheduled class time to learn the timing and movements that you will need to present during the class. 
  • 15 minutes of demonstrating the movements during the class and acting as a secondary coach. Be prepared to show movements to the participant and help the coach during the class. 
  • Following class, our team will provide a brief overview of the Fitness + Wellness program and a 15-minute interview.
